AR and VR Content Production

Content people hold in their hand or step inside, built on the same 3D pipeline as our animation.

Short answer

AR puts 3D content on top of the real world through a phone, usually triggered by a printed page or a product. VR puts the audience inside a scene with a headset, usually at an event, a showroom or a training room. We have shipped both: the OHSEM AR book collection and FaceCraft VR.

AR and VR Content Production

Print that comes alive

A page, a pack or a poster that triggers 3D content on a phone.

Attention at events

A VR booth holds a visitor for minutes, not the seconds a banner gets.

Training without risk

Procedures practised in a headset before touching the real equipment.

One 3D pipeline

Characters built for video can be reused in AR and VR instead of rebuilt.

When this is used

What AR and VR are used for

01

AR books and learning

Printed pages that show a 3D demonstration when scanned. Our Jom Solat book in the OHSEM collection works this way.

02

Product demos

A product shown at full size in a customer space through a phone, with no sample to ship.

03

Exhibition and roadshow

A VR experience that gives visitors a reason to queue at the booth.

04

Training simulation

High risk or high cost procedures practised safely in a headset.

05

Property sales gallery

Walkthrough in VR built from the same model as the renders.

06

Packaging and campaigns

Scan a pack and the mascot appears, extending a campaign beyond the shelf.

Pricing

How XR work is quoted

Package Price Includes
AR content Quoted Per trigger or page, including the 3D content and app integration.
VR experience Quoted Per experience, including environment build and interaction.
Interactive demo Quoted Product or machine demo with user controlled views.

XR cost is driven by interaction complexity and the number of scenes, not runtime. Send the idea and the platform you want to target.

How we work

How we build XR

01

Concept and platform

What the user does, on which device, and where they will use it.

02

3D assets

Characters, environments and props modelled and optimised for real time.

03

Interaction build

The experience assembled and tested on the target device.

04

Deployment

Delivered as an app build, a web AR link or a headset ready package.

Why Blindspot

XR built by an animation studio, not a software house

  • Full 3D pipeline in-house: design, modelling, animation and sound
  • We produced a 104 episode original series, so consistency over a long job is routine here
  • Fixed price packages published upfront
  • Weekly progress reports and review sessions
  • MSC status company, incorporated 2013, based in Shah Alam

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you build the app as well?

We produce the 3D content and the experience. App packaging and store submission can be included in the scope.

Does AR need a special app?

Not always. Web AR runs in a browser, which suits campaigns. A dedicated app makes sense for books and ongoing programmes.

What headsets do you support?

Standalone headsets are the usual target for events and training. Tell us the device and we build to it.

How much does AR cost?

It is quoted per trigger or page. A book with many pages costs less per page than a single one off trigger.

Can you reuse our existing 3D characters?

Yes, provided the files are available. Reusing assets is cheaper than rebuilding them.

How long does a VR experience take?

Typically six to twelve weeks depending on how much interaction is involved.

Can it work offline at an event?

Yes. Event builds are usually offline so they do not depend on venue wifi.

Do you provide the hardware?

We can advise on headsets and tablets, and work with your AV supplier for the event setup.
